About Prosperity Fitness

I’ve always had a love for dance since I was very young and wanted to share that healing joy with others. My first degree I obtained was in Health and Physical Education, focusing on providing physical activities and movement opportunities for students who could not always participate in the traditional gym classes. In college, I taught many different styles of dance to different age groups and became a group fitness instructor and led Zumba™ classes.  Upon completion of my degree, I took my first job as a teacher in Asia.

In Thailand I taught Swim and PE classes and in the evenings I found a real niche teaching Zumba™ and other group fitness classes, such as STRONG Nation™, at gyms and other facilities around the city. A couple of my favorite variations were Aqua Zumba™, and Zumba™ Gold, in which I adapt Zumba™ for low-impact and even seated classes. One achievement I am particularly proud of was when I started my first of many Zumba™ Kids programs at a women’s shelter in Thailand.

I came back to the U.S. to obtain my Master’s degree in Health and Kinesiology. I was the graduate assistant for my department, so I got to run the Kinesiology Lab and teach PE and Health courses on campus. I continued instructing a variety of fitness and dance classes in my community. I also became a Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in Corrective Exercise, meaning I can help individuals have better mobility, avoid injury, and maintain functional movement.

I worked as a full-time lecturer for Oklahoma State University for two years. I ran the Kinesiology lab, taught Exercise Science Courses and other Health related topics. I also enjoyed teaching group fitness on campus and it was a really amazing way to further connect with students. My time at OSU came to an end so that I could focus on training clients full-time, instruct group fitness and dance, my first love.

This new chapter of my life has also enabled me to make products available to the public, for home, cleaning and body, that I’ve been making for my family and myself for quite some time. With my hypo-allergenic skin and sensitivity to synthetic fragrance, I found ways to make my own essentials. Everything I sell is made, packaged, and labeled in my home kitchen. I recently moved to land with a shed I am turning into my tiny cabin, in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Considering I live in a small space, having multi-purposed products is a life saver, as well as the benefits of being all-natural. My hope is to provide a healthful, simple, solution to others as well.

My vision is to use this website to reach, uplift, and impact more individuals. Providing wholesome solutions which support and empower you as you live your amazing, best life.
